The invention concerns a portable bag (10a) of stitchable material, comprising an upper part (12), a mantle (11) and a bottom (13). The upper part (12) of the bag (10a) has been provided with a carrying member (15), for instance a carrying aperture or equivalent. The upper part (12) of the bag (10a) has been folded at least once and formed with the aid of a transversal seam (16), said seam (16) being disposed to close the upper part (12). A reinforcing patch (14) has been placed, prior to folding the upper end (12), in the upper end (12) upon the mantle (11), the reinforcing patch (14) being disposed, when the upper end (12) is being folded. to remain interposed in the folded upper end (12). The folded upper end (12) has been stitched closed with a stitched seam (16).

The portable bag contains a shell 1, an upper part 2, a bottom 3, a reinforcing pad 4 installed on the upper part 4. The upper part 2 of the bag is folded at least twice to form a fold and fixed with a horizontal transverse seam 5,
